The name K33PS comes from the idea of KEEP.
To keep something means more than simply owning it.
We keep objects because they carry meaning.
We keep characters because they remind us of a moment,
a feeling or a part of ourselves.
We keep stories because we continue to connect with them.
K33PS brings familiar cultural icons into the present through new forms, objects and experiences.

K33PS strips away much of ASTRO BOY’s familiar color language and reduces the character to a cleaner, more sculptural form.

The intention is not to redesign ASTRO BOY into something unfamiliar.
It is to allow people to look at something they already know from a new perspective.

At the center of the K33PS ComplexCon experience stands a monumental 10.5-foot WHITE ASTRO BOY.
Created as the defining symbol of the K33PS × ASTRO BOY project, the sculpture transforms a character known from the screen into a monumental physical presence.
Its minimal white body, red boots and red heart reduce ASTRO BOY to some of his most recognizable elements — transforming a familiar character into a contemporary design object.

Los Angeles is a city where entertainment, fashion, art, music, sports, design and technology continuously intersect.
That environment reflects how K33PS approaches culture.
Rather than operating within a single product category, K33PS moves between different creative worlds and connects them through characters, objects and experiences.
From its Los Angeles base, K33PS plans to develop selective collaborations with globally recognized IP, creators and brands.

“K33PS is a cultural platform built around a simple idea:
the things we choose to keep.
We all own a lot of things, but only a small number of them
stay meaningful to us over time.
K33PS takes those characters and stories and reinterprets them
through objects and experiences that feel relevant today.
We want to create things people don’t just buy.
We want to create things they want to keep.”

We weren’t trying to replace what people already love
about ASTRO BOY.
We wanted to preserve that identity and give people
a new way to experience it.”
“White gave us a blank canvas.
Once you remove much of the familiar color,
you start noticing the shape of the character again.
The silhouette becomes stronger. The boots become stronger.
The expression becomes stronger.
And the heart becomes especially noticeable.
We weren’t adding more information to the character.
We were removing information so people could look
at ASTRO BOY again.”
“Scale changes the relationship you have with an object.
At 10.5 feet, ASTRO BOY becomes almost architectural.
At 24 inches, he begins to feel like a presence standing beside you.
At 11 inches, he becomes a collectible you can place in your space.
And as a keyring, he becomes something you can carry every day.
It’s the same character, but each scale creates
a completely different relationship.”
“We didn’t want to make a charger and simply put
ASTRO BOY graphics on it.
We looked at the character and asked what part of him
could actually become an object.
The red boots are instantly recognizable.
So instead of putting the character on the product,
the character became the product.”

we wanted people to walk into the space and understand it.”
